You will work closely with other members of IT including other developers, business analysts, and QA engineers to design, develop, test, implement, and support solutions to meet business requirements, and will also interact with members of our Investment Research department in architecting world-class research and collaboration capabilities. You will work with and learn from exceptional technology and business professionals through cross-platform, data driven projects and assignments.

RESPONSIBILITIES Design, prototype and code new user-facing applications and workflows based on functional specifications across the full stack – services, web, infrastructure, and back-end Partner with business analysts, QA engineers, and Investment Research personnel to lead the delivery of high-quality business solutions, including participating in architecture, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and support Lead the development and implementation of AI-driven solutions to enhance and streamline investor workflows Work with business teams, project managers, and systems analysts to review and qualify business requirements, functional specifications, use-cases, and test plans which will including doing estimates, identifying issues, and raising risks Work across various IT teams to coordinate and facilitate infrastructure upgrades, disaster recovery testing, and cross-functional projects Modify and enhance existing systems to incorporate new functionality and to optimize them for performance Provide technical and leadership across initiatives to ensure capabilities are developed with the latest methods and to the highest standards Provide guidance and mentoring for more junior team members Author architecture, technical design, and support documentation and ensure the adherence to established code-quality standards Help with ensuring the stability of production systems by implementing tools for observability, data quality and alerting, as well as provide hands-on support during on-call rotations

Keys to the position 10+ years with Java or Python backend development experience. A background in Java is very helpful. Candidates should be well versed with Lambda functions and multi-threading Nodejs is a must MySQL and Oracle AWS experience is a must – If not, they need to have a conceptual understanding of cloud services. Nodejs React is a nice to have. Financial services is a nice to have Boston 4 days a week Qualifications 10+ years of experience as a Software Engineer with solid accomplishments Proficiency with Node.JS, Java, Python, and database technologies Strong knowledge of SQL, experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySql Experience in Financial Industry is preferred Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality, user-facing solutions previously Excellent written and verbal communication Experience with AI technologies and React is a plus Experience working with Agile methodologies, CI/CD tools (Jenkins or equivalent), version control (Git) and Orchestration tools Experience operating in a DevOps environment application with cloud technologies such as AWS, is a plus. Be willing and able to work both independently and as part of a team, in an energetic, fast-paced, business-critical environment.
