Quality Manufacturing Engineer

What We Need:
Brady is seeking a skilled and driven Quality Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, improving, and maintaining manufacturing processes with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement. You will play a key role in resolving complex production challenges and implementing solutions that enhance product quality and process reliability. This position also provides leadership and technical guidance to technicians and hourly associates, fostering a culture of quality and operational excellence, even without direct reporting lines.
What You'll Be Doing:
Provide leadership to key associates to promote participation and cooperation in process development/improvement initiatives
Ensures conformance with and application of policies and procedures
Create PPAP and FAI documents for customers
Manage customer surveys and contract reviews in a timely manner
Participate in and support internal and external audits
Responsible for smooth product production/constant production flow
Supports quality document system management
Create, document and implement procedures for assembling, testing and packaging processes
Refine operations and manufacturing processes
Designs, evaluates and implements systems for inspection, manufacturing and data acquisition
Responsible for continuous improvement activities
Develops training systems and support documentation for associates
Designs in conjunction with new product development engineers manufacturing strategies
Provide leadership in assigned areas as well as lead projects in other manufacturing areas
Other duties as assigned
What You Will Need To Be Successful:
Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or related field
Minimum 3 years of experience as a manufacturing engineer technician or specialist
Effective lean manufacturing skill set and knowledge with experience implementing lean methodologies/tools (pull systems, TPM, one piece flow, Kanban, POU, standardized work, batch reduction, visual controls, Ishikawa diagrams/fishbone, 5-Why Analysis and 5S)
Have an understanding of COC/COA creation
Ability to use calipers, micrometers, precision measuring devices
Knowledge of quality management systems, specifically ISO-9001, AS9100
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Ability to use Google sheets, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Access, and Microsoft Project
Knowledge of statistical tools; GR&Rs, SPC, DOE’s, Ppk’s, Cpk’s, Hypothesis Testing.
Basic understanding of GD&T
Six Sigma Green Belt Training Certification and/or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer and/or ASQ Mechanical Inspector certification
Printing and/or converting industry experience preferred
Familiarity with CAD software, AutoCAD preferred
Ability to travel up to 5%
