Job Title:  Quality Engineer Location: Ames, IA Salary: $85,000 $95,000 per year Job Type: Full-time | On-site Overview We're hiring a Quality Engineer to lead process development and ensure high-quality, efficient production operations. This role focuses on manufacturing process design, optimization, and the successful transition from design to production, rather than product design. What You'll Do Develop and document robust, cost-effective manufacturing processes Lead pre-production validation: PFMEA, control plans, capability studies Support tooling, equipment, and fixture readiness Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues Apply Lean and Six Sigma tools to improve efficiency and reduce waste Collaborate cross-functionally to launch new designs and meet ISO standards Train operators and support internal audits What You'll Need Bachelor's in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering Background in ISO quality systems and ERP (Syteline a plus) Strong communication, analytical, and project management skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CAD tools, and Lean methodologies Experience with industrial/heavy-duty products preferred Apply today to help shape quality-driven, efficient manufacturing operations from the ground up.
