We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Engineer for our client in Fayetteville, AR . This full-time opportunity offers a competitive annual salary of $75-80K+/Year and the chance to be part of a team committed to excellence in manufacturing, engineering, and customer satisfaction.
As a Quality Engineer , your primary responsibility will be to support production and engineering by identifying and eliminating sources of rework. You will analyze data, lead internal audits to support quality certifications, drive root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventative actions. You'll also play a critical role in new product introductions (NPI), ensuring successful launches from a quality standpoint. This position requires a strong technical background, leadership qualities, and excellent collaboration with internal teams and customers.
Key Responsibilities
Utilize statistical analysis, lean manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement practices to support our client's Quality Management Systems.
Conduct detailed failure analyses on manufactured or purchased parts and compile reports for management.
Interpret mechanical and electrical drawings to assess product specifications and manufacturing capabilities.
Lead internal, process, and vendor audits to maintain ISO and customer quality standards.
Create and maintain inspection data records to support traceability and process improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, engineering, and planning to address quality concerns.
Develop, review, and implement SPC programs and inspection protocols for all stages of production.
Drive the CAPA process for internal, customer, and supplier-related quality issues.
Assist in regulatory and safety agency compliance such as UL, FDA, AS, and others.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience (minimum 5 years related experience).
Strong understanding of statistical quality methods, process capability studies, and quality system auditing.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare technical reports and present to stakeholders.
Ability to interpret customer drawings/specifications and regulatory documentation.
Familiarity with IPC-A-610 and component identification preferred.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
This Quality Engineer role involves both office and production floor settings. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-precision environment. Regular sitting, walking, standing, and light lifting (up to 25 lbs) are required. Vision abilities needed include close vision and depth perception.
