Base is looking to hire a Quality Engineer to support the development of our Quality Management System. In this role you will work with the hardware design and manufacturing teams to develop processes and standards that will scale to high-volume operations. This is an exciting opportunity to directly impact our quality and operations roadmap. Base is a demanding and fast-paced environment where you will work with a highly motivated team on extremely challenging projects. Responsibilities: Support the development of Base’s Quality Management Systems (QMS) in alignment with ISO 9001 requirements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate QMS into production, engineering, and supply chain processes
Develop and maintain documentation, including quality manuals, procedures, and work instructions
Analyze quality data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement
Lead corrective and preventive action processes to address non-conformances
Set up non-conformance work streams and rework processes to support manufacturing
Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to quality system effectiveness
Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards and internal quality policies
Required Skills / Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field
3+ years of quality systems experience, with a focus on ISO, AS, or TS compliance
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, FMEA)
Experience with quality tools such as SPC, Six Sigma, or Lean methodologies is a plus
Excellent documentation and organizational skills for maintaining QMS records
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with teams and train staff
Certification as an ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor is highly desirable
