Quality Engineer

Location: Hartford County

Responsibilities:

Lead in-process inspections

SolidWorks design work as necessary

Acts as a liaison between the quality group and manufacturing to help ensure stable production output to minimize customer returns or in-process delays

Maintain and improve supplier quality system

Assist with LEAN projects as needed

Assist in programming automated inspection equipment

Assist with internal and external AS9100 & ISO9001 audits

Assist with all QMS requirements

Assist with FAI and PPAP requirements

Qualifications/Experience:

Minimum 3 years of quality engineering background in manufacturing experience or equivalent

Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent experience

Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, ISO9001 and AS9100

Knowledge of SolidWorks or AutoCAD

MS Office Suite experience

Familiar with ERP/MRP systems (E2/JobBoss would be a plus)

Certified ISO9001/AS9100 internal auditor, is a plus

Experience with chemical etching, metal forming, metal working a plus
