Job Overview: The Quality Engineer Field Quality & Analytics, occupies a key role in the Quality Engineering Appliance department, by monitoring field performance and assembly production issues to drive continuous improvements and customer satisfaction. This position works closely with the Technology, Contract Manufacturing Suppliers, 3rd party logistics and other Quality teams on multiple activities in support of on-going product quality/ reliability improvement efforts. The Quality Engineer - Sustaining, is responsible for appliance and related manufacturing process quality compliance. This function applies strong technical expertise in appliance technology and quality tool knowledge to Keurig appliance evaluation to assure that all specifications are fulfilled. This individual will have the ability to create and maintain product qualification documents used to evaluate new/ revised appliance compliance within company standards. The position requires knowledge of quality systems, statistical tools, lean six sigma methodologies, process capability, and understanding of control plans and process flow. Additionally, this person needs to apply strong data knowledge to analyze test and field performance data and develop fact base summaries to be used as part of the business case required for improvement initiatives. This position would have responsibility for coordinating product reworks when required, establishing process and testing strategy for the rework. What you will do: Help drive failure and root cause analysis on electromechanical appliance systems Work closely with the Product, Engineering and Contract Manufacturer teams in support of identifying and correcting issues underlying customer complaints/returns in a fast paced consumer product environment Responsible for field quality oversite on various brewer models Work closely with Contract Manufacturers to ensure corrective and preventative actions are cut in timely and accurately. Work closely with data analytics, Triage, internal testing and customer care teams to assess reasons for returns Hands of review of customer product returns, manage material disposition and track recurring issues for 8D Coordinate retailer reverse logistics and brewer recycling/refurbishment programs Lead quality interface with 3rd party logistics (3PL) to coordinate inventory holds and rework as well as assessment and disposition of non-conformances Support packaging category team to ensure product packaging testing meets required standards Coordinate and execute corrective action and preventive action (CAPA/8D) process Evaluate current hardware and software test methods, propose and implement additional testing to current product platform Present and review data/reports related to specific issues to peers and executives Establish standard procedure formats and maintain library of QC protocol documents that can be readily used by other teams as required Foster working relationships amongst partners to promote quality, robustness, and reliability. Requirements: BS degree in Engineering or equivalent 3+ years experience in support of development and production of consumer goods in a global setting are highly desired Previous experience in a consumer product quality role is highly desired Good working knowledge of statistical analysis and problem solving tools Experience with reverse logistics desired Experience coordinating hardware or software reworkacross global supply chain desired Familiarity with electronic/ electrical circuits and knowledge of controller /user interface applications are desirable Experienced with contract manufacturing and supplier quality management and auditing Effective interpersonal, communication, planning, problem solving, and organizational skills in a global environment Continuous improvement mindset Self-motivated and experienced in dealing with ambiguity while performing critical project steps Experienced in defining project prioritization and flexible to shift project focus upon business decisions Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Visio and Power Point. Previous experience in data analytics and tools (i.e. SQL, Tableau) is highly desired Familiarity with software packages such as JMP, SQL, Tableau,ETQ, Teamcenter, Confluence, Jira,are desirable Six Sigma Certification desirable
