Our client, a global electronics manufacturer for the aerospace and defense industry, is heavily investing in this unit in the business. With emerging technologies and new product development down the line, there will be ample opportunity for growth as this business unit will have a major impact on the company as a whole. This is an exciting industry to be a part of, with the opportunity to work with electronic components utilized in airplanes, helicopters, and missiles.

Job Description

Helps develop quality control policies and assesses production constraints.
Works closely with engineering and production teams to ensure quality standards are met.
Designs and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and verifying the precision and accuracy of products and equipment.
Supports first article inspections and approves materials and final assemblies by verifying specifications, conducting visual and dimensional tests, and rejecting non-conforming materials.
Develops, maintains, and runs CMM programs; performs inspections at various production stages.
Inspects parts and audits products according to quality and process standards using visual, layout, dimensional, or non-destructive testing methods.
May perform root cause analysis for issues requiring corrective actions.
Reads and interprets blueprints and customer specifications to determine inspection criteria.
Records observations and prepares inspection and testing reports.
Ensures corrective actions and deviations comply with reliability standards and documentation requirements.
May specialize in design, incoming materials, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control, or R&D as they relate to product or process quality.
May hold certifications in Lean and Six Sigma and apply quality tools to drive continuous improvement.
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of government and industry quality assurance standards.

The Successful Applicant

Experience running and conducting inspection programs
CMM operation and programming experience (Experience with Zeiss Calypso is a plus)
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Background in electronics
Understanding of AS 9100 is a plus
Customer interaction experience
Must be ITAR compliant
Sponsorship not provided

What's on Offer

Salary ranging from $70,000 - $85,000
