Quality Control Engineer

An employer is looking for a consultant to join a Utility client in Southern California that will support the QA/QC of project closeout documents. Responsibilities: Review and verify design drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with industry standards and company specifications. Conduct thorough QA/QC inspections of design documentation to identify and resolve discrepancies. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to ensure design drawings meet project requirements. Assist in the preparation and submission of project closeout documentation, including as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, and other required documents. Maintain organized records of QA/QC activities and documentation. Participate in project meetings and provide input on QA/QC matters. Ensure adherence to safety and regulatory requirements throughout the QA/QC process. Must-Haves: 2+ years of experience working in an engineering design environment 1+ years working within Utilities (oil x gas, water, power generation) Recent exposure to an electrical environment Experience reviewing design drawings and performing QA/QC for project close out Strong attention to detail Willingness to learn Great multitasking skills Nice to Have Skills & Experience AutoCAD AVEVA Compensation: $35/hr - $40/hr Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
