Work schedule: Normal business hours Monday-Friday

Pay Rate: $60 to $65 per hour

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Quality Automation Engineer to join our client's team in New York City. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in test automation across web, mobile, and API layers. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, hands-on experience in QA automation frameworks, and a proven track record in both small/mid-sized business environments and large enterprise settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases using Playwright, Cypress, and Selenium.
  • Execute and maintain functional UI tests for AEM-based websites and Single Page Applications (SPAs).
  • Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or REST-assured.
  • Implement test automation for mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms.
  • Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines to ensure consistent and reliable test execution.
  • Author robust, reusable, and maintainable test scripts for regression and end-to-end testing.
  • Validate AEM components, templates, and content workflows to support content authoring and publishing quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to define and validate test requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience as a QA Automation Engineer.
  • Strong proficiency in automated testing tools such as Playwright, Cypress, and Selenium.
  • Solid understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript and relevant automation frameworks.
  • Experience in testing AEM (Adobe Experience Manager) platforms and content workflows.
  • Proven experience in testing mobile applications and understanding of platform-specific test strategies.
  • Strong API testing skills and experience in REST-based service validation.
  • Comfortable working with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lean Six Sigma Brown Belt certification (nice to have).
  • Background in both small- to mid-sized companies and large enterprise environments.
  • Prior experience working in or with public sector or transit authorities is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills with a customer-centric mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively within a cross-functional team.

  • This position is onsite in New York, NY (10007).
  • Candidates must be clear communicators, able to explain technical issues in a non-technical manner when needed
