Job Summary
Our client is in need of a Quality Engineer to oversee quality assurance operations and drive continuous enhancement in production processes. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in CNC machining, quality systems, and inspection methodologies. This role will play a crucial role in maintaining product quality, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring alignment with customer and industry standards.
Job Responsibilities
Formulate and execute quality assurance procedures, inspection protocols, and control plans.
Monitor production procedures to ensure adherence to internal and customer specifications.
Conduct root cause analysis and spearhead corrective/preventive action endeavors (CAPA).
Oversee non-conformance reporting (NCR), documentation, and subsequent actions.
Carry out internal audits and contribute to external audits (ISO, customer audits, etc.).
Utilize quality tools like FMEA, SPC, PPAP, and control charts to facilitate data-driven decision making.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and inspection teams to address quality concerns.
Manage calibration schedules and ensure accuracy of measurement equipment.
Support first article inspections (FAI) and final product acceptance processes.
Provide training to employees on quality standards and best practices.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field is preferred.
3-5 years of experience in a quality role within a manufacturing or CNC machining setting.
Thorough understanding of quality systems like ISO or AS.
Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, CMM, etc.).
Experience in interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications.
Familiarity with quality tools such as 8D, 5 Whys, Pareto analysis, and statistical methods.
Outstanding problem-solving, documentation, and communication abilities.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Capability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
