Overview

CTG is seeking to fill a QA Engineer Automated 3 opening for our client in Austin, TX.

Location: Austin, TX (hybrid remote)

Duties:

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites using UFT or similar automation tools

• Write and optimize SQL and PL/SQL queries for validating data and backend processes

• Collaborate with development teams and stakeholders to review requirements and ensure traceability through test plans and test scripts

• Design and maintain Requirements Traceability Matrices

• Create and execute test plans, coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), and report defects

• Participate in Agile ceremonies and support project sprint planning and retrospectives

• Use Jira to manage test activities and track work assignments

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the QA process

• Support CI/CD efforts by integrating automated testing in the pipeline

• Utilize scripting languages (JavaScript, VBScript, Python) to enhance testing frameworks and automate complex scenarios

Skills:

• Proficiency in JavaScript, VBScript, and Python for scripting and automation

• Expertise in developing test suites using UFT or similar test automation tools

• Strong skills in SQL and PL/SQL for database validations

• Understanding of CI/CD processes and how automated testing fits within deployment pipelines

• Familiarity with Jira for tracking project and sprint tasks

• Ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams

Experience:

• 8 years of strong verbal and written communication experience across user and peer levels

• 8 years of test suite development using UFT or comparable tools

• 8 years of experience writing database queries using SQL and PL/SQL

• 6 years of experience developing Requirements Traceability Matrices, test scripts, and coordinating UAT

• 6 years of familiarity with IT SDLC processes

• 4 years of experience using Jira for project and sprint tracking in an Agile environment

• 1 year of experience with Agile project management methodologies

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred
