Remote property claims specialist role responsible for investigating, evaluating, and settling moderate to complex property and inland marine claims, with significant field travel and catastrophe response responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities - Investigate, evaluate, reserve, and settle property and inland marine claims, typically ranging from $25K-$100K+, including some business income losses - Conduct field inspections, estimate damages, coordinate experts, and obtain required documentation - Make coverage determinations and negotiate settlements within assigned authority and compliance standards - Serve as an initial responder for catastrophe events and support claims across multiple regions as needed - Provide coverage and estimating assistance to other claims staff and respond to legal, regulatory, or appeal matters - Travel extensively within the assigned territory, primarily by automobile

Qualifications - Several years of property claims experience, preferably across commercial and personal lines - Strong knowledge of coverage analysis and computer-based damage estimating - Proficiency with claims and standard business software - Ability to work flexible schedules and travel frequently - Valid driver's license; college degree preferred

Location: Remote in Northern NJ Salary: $90,000+
