This position will manage the contractor safety program and lead process safety initiatives. There is 50% travel (2 weeks out of the month). RESPONSIBILITIES: Work with internal resources and/or specialist consultants to develop comprehensive Dust Hazard Analysis (DHA) plans for each of the US and Canadian facilities Work with companies that specialize in Fire and Explosion Prevention to develop solutions for the identified risks within the DHA Work with the internal Technical and Engineering departments, develop a comprehensive installation plan with budgets and timelines based on the results of the DHA and the work produced with the specialized Fire and Explosion Prevention companies Set up regular meetings with the mills for engagement of execution on findings Schedule internal, and external Process Safety audits at the mills at the correct cadence Lead AON corrective action plans with divisions Manage contractor safety program Work with divisional and project resources to understand and comply with the contractor safety program, assist with incident investigations Work with divisional and project resources to understand and comply with the contractor safety program, assist with incident investigations Set up regular meetings with the mills to ensure Contractor Safety Management is understood Schedule internal Contractor Safety audits at the mills at the correct cadence Ensure contractor safety records are maintained for each project Special projects and other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS:

BS degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical engineering or a combination of education and experience 3 years experience in an industrial/project role, 5+ years preferable Must have experience in a heavy industrial environment Experience with NFPA or Equivalent Dust hazard regulations g.
