We are hiring for a Project Engineer to join our team! BKF Engineers is seeking a Project Engineer with strong technical expertise and a proven track record in land development design and civil engineering. In this role you will independently apply standard civil engineering principles and judgment to a variety of projects, from small-scale developments to major infrastructure projects. Responsibilities: Project Design for Site Development Grading and Drainage Plans Utility Systems for Water and Sewer Report Preparation and Master Planning Studies preparation of specifications and cost estimates Roadway/Street final design package – Plan, Profile, Cross Sections Roadway Design: Streetscape, Green Streets, Bicycle Path Plans Federal, State, City and County Standards Report Preparation and Conceptual Studies Preparation of Specifications and Quantity Takeoffs/Cost Estimates Projects include residential, commercial, mixed-use and public works projects Requirements 2 - 6 years of experience in site development and design of residential and/or commercial subdivisions, utility systems, roadways, and public works. B.S in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET Accredited Curriculum or equivalent required EIT/ FE certification preferred Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus! Strong communication skills
Physical Demands: Must be able to regularly talk, hear and operate a computer, keyboard and mouse and occasionally lift, pull/push and carry up to 20 pounds with accommodations. Work Conditions: Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds at a low or moderate level consistent with an office setting. Exposure to high-stress, fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.  Travel to other BKF locations and client sites may be required. Benefits The anticipated base salary range for this position is $95,000- $125,000, annualized depending upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location. This is an hourly position paid biweekly. Competitive salaries, end of year bonuses, profit sharing, and 401k.
