Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Project Engineer to join our construction team, with a focus on commercial and retail projects. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting project execution from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring seamless coordination between field operations, subcontractors, and the project management team. Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Site Superintendent and Project Manager in daily project operations.

  • Maintain and manage project documentation, including daily logs, submittals, subcontractor lists, subcontracts, and change orders.

  • Assist with scheduling and coordination of trades, logistics, and material procurement.

  • Track insurance certificates, RFIs, and project-related correspondence.

  • Help manage project closeout, including as-built drawings and final documentation.

  • Review project drawings and schematics; ensure all work aligns with plans and specifications.

  • Interface with subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.

  • Assist with the implementation of quality control and safety protocols on-site.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Prior experience working on retail or commercial construction projects is required.

  • Solid understanding of construction drawings and technical documents.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); knowledge of MS Project and Prolog is a plus.

  • Familiarity with Procore is a strong advantage.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative project team.

  • Exceptional time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment & Conditions

  • Primarily field-based with exposure to active construction sites.

  • Must be able to walk, climb ladders, and conduct site inspections as needed.
