This position will use technical knowledge and experience to plan, lead, and manage projects from design input requirements to production release and final testing. This includes but is not limited to reviewing customer technical requirements, creating detail designs, performing detailed analysis, creating prototypes, leading design reviews, writing test procedures, and supporting the product through production via hands on troubleshooting
Typical Responsibilities:
Leads, coordinates, and supports the major phases of taking a project from design input requirements to production and final test.
Conducts and leads Preliminary and Critical design reviews internally or with customers.
Effectively communicate with customers in periodic meetings.
Oversees and participates in critical design activities including but not limited to: preparation and completion of drawings, design analysis, prototypes, procedures, sketches, etc., necessary for the development of new products.
Assists the manufacturing department in the development of processes and procedures necessary to produce products cost effectively.
Assists test department in development of test procedures and processes.
Assists supply chain with vendor support and material questions.
Assists sales with technical support for customers.
Assists program management with ensuring projects are on budget and on schedule.
Manages multiple projects simultaneously.
Teaches and mentors less experienced engineering team members.
Oversees work from consultants and assigned engineers and evaluates their work.
Creates status reports for upper management, sales and customers.
Helps in creating sales proposals and develop new pricing.
Performs product improvements, lead time, and cost reductions.
Assists sales and marketing with drawings, specifications, sales presentations, catalogs and general advertising literature and customer support.
Supervision: Does not supervise anyone
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Required:
Bachelors degree (Mechanical or Electrical/RF Engineering Preferred).
10+ years of combined experience in technical project leadership, mechanical design, and manufacturing.
Exceptional communication skills and effectively able to communicate technical information with customers.
Exceptional organizational skills and demonstration of handling multiple projects.
Proficient with SolidWorks and EPDM
Experience implementing GD&T into drawings.
MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, MS Teams
Preferred:
5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with electromechanical actuators or small mechanisms
Experience with ISO or AS9100 Quality Management System
Experience in the Space and Aerospace Industry
Work Arrangement : Onsite
Pay Range: $125,000.00 - $140,000.00 annually
Bonus Eligible: This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.
