Job Title: Project Engineer Location: Avon, OH Pay Rate: $85K-115K DOE Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, 401(k) We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our team in Avon, OH. Reporting to the Avon Plant Manager, this role will be responsible for managing and executing capital projects, driving process improvements, and ensuring strategic alignment with plant and business objectives. The ideal candidate has strong project management experience within manufacturing and is well-versed in Early Management and Vertical Startup (VSU) principles.
Project Management Lead the planning and execution of all capital projects and manage overall CAPEX processes within budget. Forecast and track capital cash flow and spending. Coordinate and direct project activities across internal teams and external contractors. Lead cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder communication, including preparing and presenting project plans. Drive process improvements through capital projects and oversee successful integration of upgrades into plant operations. Strategic Planning Support Develop and maintain detailed plant and equipment layouts to support long-term master planning. Provide regular capital plan updates to business unit and supply chain leadership. Support the development and implementation of engineering and project execution standards. Early Management & Vertical Startup Expertise Serve as the site expert in Project Management, Early Management, and Vertical Startup (VSU) methodologies. Lead implementation of tools such as FMEA, Maintenance Prevention, FAT, SAT, and CQV. Develop and manage all documentation and deliverables tied to VSU project phases. Additional Responsibilities Participate in special projects and support other tasks as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Mechatronic, or a related Engineering field (Mechatronics preferred). 2–5 years of hands-on experience in Engineering Project Management, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Experience in executing capital projects with exposure to early management and VSU methodologies is highly desired. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Travel Requirement: Up to 20% travel required to support operations at our Illinois facility.
