Summary

This role supports production efforts through management of plant maintenance, reliability, and upgrade projects. Key Responsibilities

Evaluate potential projects with plant and company stakeholders. This may require working within a larger project team by managing and/or designing a portion of that project.

Obtain vendor/contractor quotations for proposed work scope. Responsible for gaining stakeholder alignment on all proposals, feasibility studies and vendor/construction packages.

Prepare project scope of work documents, budgets, and schedules. Obtain approvals for execution.

Control project costs by approving expenditures and administering contractor contracts.

Maintains project schedule by monitoring progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems efficiently with minimal impact to plant operations over entire project lifecycle (development, design, construction and project closeout).

Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, recommending actions. Routinely communicate with project stakeholders on status.

Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing company rules and procedures.

Ensure timely closeout of projects including handover of documents for archiving.

Ability to work additional time as needed including weekends for any project completion or oversight.

Provide one-on-one mentoring and guidance to mentees, focusing on their personal and professional development.

Typical Education

Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a 4-year College or University

Relevant Experience

10+ years demonstrated experience of managing projects in a heavy industrial or process plant environment. Experience in Phosphate Fertilizer mining and manufacturing is a plus.
