JOB SUMMARY The Project Engineer (PE) is responsible for managing project documentation and supporting the Project Manager in all aspects of cost control, quality assurance, scheduling, and safety. This role plays a key part in helping project teams obtain, evaluate, coordinate, and distribute the information and approvals necessary to deliver projects on time, within budget, safely, and to the highest quality standards.The Project Engineer builds and maintains strong working relationships with clients, architects, consultants, and subcontractors. All daily activities are performed in alignment with the companys mission, vision, and core values.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship. Bachelors Degree preferred or experience in related field. Computer literate with excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Outlook, Word). Strong written and verbal communication skills, detail-oriented. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Understanding of plans and schematics. Can work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Advanced critical thinking and judgment skills. Must be able to work flexible hours. Work hours will be consistent with a Project Engineer in the Construction industry.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Manage, maintain, track, coordinate, organize, and expedite the flow of all project information to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and timeliness. Create and manage filing systems, logs, and documentation for submittals, RFIs, ASIs, CCDs, field orders, and record drawings; ensure timely distribution and proper storage in the project management database. Lead the submittal process: create and manage the submittal log, review submittals, track approvals, and ensure timely procurement and distribution to meet quality and schedule requirements. Manage the RFI process, including generating RFIs, reviewing for cost/schedule impact, tracking through submission and response, and mitigating associated risks in collaboration with the project team. Assist the Project Manager with budgeting, forecasting, cost control, change management, and monthly invoicing for both subcontractors/suppliers and client billings. Coordinate and support project closeout requirements including as-built drawings, attic stock, owner training, closeout documents, and punch list completion. Transmit all official contract documents promptly to appropriate parties. Attend project meetings, support Project Manager with agenda preparation, and generate and distribute meeting minutes. Fully understand subcontractor scopes of work to support field and project management operations effectively. Support field supervision and management staff with daily operations, project documentation, safety protocols, and resource needs. Uphold CPPIs mission, vision, and core values; represent the company professionally and act as a steward of its culture. Take ownership of the project by proactively identifying risks, ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures, and promoting a safe jobsite environment. Model leadership behaviors by setting a positive example, making sound decisions that balance profitability with integrity, and mentoring Project Assistants, Interns, and fellow Project Engineers. Participate in ongoing training, company functions, and meetings; complete all required training in a timely manner. Ensure client expectations are met or exceeded throughout the project lifecycle. Perform additional duties as assigned.
