Description
CME Associates is seeking a highly motivated Water/Wastewater Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join our team in Parlin, NJ. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the planning, design, and implementation of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Responsibilities
- Project Design and Development: Prepare designs, technical specifications, and construction drawings for water distribution, wastewater collection systems, and treatment facilities.
- Hydraulic Modeling and Analysis: Conduct hydraulic and hydrologic modeling to optimize system performance and capacity.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure projects comply with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and permitting requirements.
- Assist municipalities and utilities with meeting NJDEP compliance requirements related to drinking water and wastewater regulations, including permitting, reporting, and infrastructure planning.
- Construction Support: Provide engineering support during construction, including reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and conducting site visits.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including project managers, surveyors, and environmental scientists, to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Maintain and develop strong client relationships by serving as a point of contact, understanding client goals and ensuring satisfaction throughout projects.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, or a related Engineering discipline.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in water/wastewater engineering, including design and project management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and hydraulic modeling software (e.g., EPANET, WaterCAD, SewerGEMS).
- Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare technical reports and presentations.
