Cornelis Networks is seeking a skilled Product Regulatory Engineer with expertise in all aspects of electronic products' regulatory requirements and testing. This includes safety, EMI, EMC, product ecology, and all other related regulatory and customer requirements for domestic and international markets. This engineer will also be involved in the design of all phases of high-performance electronics, from conception through end-of-life, of the next-generation Cornelis Networks Fabric platforms.


Key Responsibilities

  • Track and interpret applicable domestic and international standards and directives to ensure timely product testing and updates to supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate and participate in product testing with third-party laboratories and internal program teams to meet product and customer requirements.
  • Generate declarations of conformity (DoCs) and compliance reports covering safety, EMI/EMC, RoHS, REACH, WEEE, and related areas.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of product ecology data in internal compliance databases or tools.
  • Collaborate with platform design and manufacturing teams to ensure compliant product designs and smooth transition into production. This includes conducting safety inspections and proactive reviews of chassis and PCB layouts for safety and EMC mitigation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in a product development environment, with hands-on experience in compliance testing and working with international regulatory agencies.
  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, meet deadlines, and coordinate cross-functional stakeholders effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration abilities.
  • Strong working knowledge of key regulatory standards and directives, including:
    • Safety and EMC:
      • Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU
      • IEC/EN 62368-1
      • EMC Directive 2014/30/EU
      • IEC/CISPR/EN 55032, 55035
      • EN 61000-3-2, 61000-3-3
      • FCC 47 CFR Part 15, Class A
    • Environmental/Product Ecology:
      • RoHS Directive 2015/863/EU
      • WEEE Directive 2012/19/EU
      • REACH Directive 2011/65/EU

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with PCB layout concepts and tools such as Cadence Allegro or Mentor Graphics.
  • Experience with regulatory data tools like Q-Point, GDX, or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Direct experience working with third-party testing agencies such as TV, UL, ETL, or Element.
  • Hands-on experience with environmental and mechanical compliance testing, including climatic, shock, and vibration testing.
  • Scripting or automation experience with Python or similar languages

Location: This is a remote role within the United States. Preference is for candidates to reside in Wayne, PA; Austin, TX; Atlanta, GA; or Minnesota.
