Apollo Technical has an immediate need for a Process & Equipment Engineer in the Charlotte NC areaThis is a full time direct hire position
You will play a key role in analyzing and preparing technical documentation to support bids and project execution. Your expertise will focus on equipment, process, instrumentation, and electrical systems, ensuring high-quality deliverables and seamless project coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop technical documentation for power plant equipment during bidding and project execution phases.
- Evaluate supplier quotations to ensure compliance with technical specifications.
- Provide technical support to sales and project teams in the following areas:
- Control & Instrumentation: Process control, instrumentation, I/O systems, and DCS.
- Process: Steam-to-power systems, piping, and instrumentation design.
- Equipment: Sizing and selection of industrial components (pumps, fans, piping, valves, vacuum skids, etc.).
- Electrical Systems: Energy usage, distribution, and power management for equipment.
- Coordinate technical information across project interfaces to ensure alignment.
- Deliver innovative, timely, and high-quality technical solutions while adhering to project schedules.
- Create and review Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Optimize thermal designs based on technical and cost considerations.
- Conduct on-site performance tests and prepare comprehensive reports.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to develop cost-effective product designs.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering.
- 5-7 years of experience in industrial project environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Familiarity with CAD tools; experience with Autodesk products (Inventor, Plant 3D, P&ID) is a strong advantage.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Strong intellectual curiosity, eagerness to learn, and interest in technical advancements.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
- Proactive mindset with strong prioritization abilities.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate across departments and with international stakeholders.
