Job Title Process Engineer
We're working on behalf of a dynamic organization seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to drive improvement and growth within their facility. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong technical background and a passion for process optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Process Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting plant projects and activities, driving improvement to processes, and implementing Lean initiatives. You will serve as a subject expert on local and corporate databases and ERP systems, providing technical guidance and support to various departments.
Your primary accomplishments will include:
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Operations Manager, Production Manager, and Quality Administrators, to drive Continuous Improvement Activities
* Developing and manufacturing materials, parts, or supplies to support new or improved operational processes, equipment, or tooling
* Maintaining accurate documentation control in local and corporate databases, including QMS documentation control, related to manufacturing processes and instructions
* Leading the APQP process for new part number creation, development, and production release
* Supporting industry surveys and controls, including RoHS, MSPCA, and Conflict Minerals
* Driving LEAN initiatives in the plant through all departments, including 6 Sigma and LEAN methodologies
* Leading data accuracy requirements in the corporate ERP system, including EPICOR
* Developing and maintaining system costing standards
* Supporting customer initiatives on productivity improvements and cost reduction activities
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
* An Associate's degree or two years of combination of related education
* Strong knowledge of Lean and/or continuous improvement methodologies
* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents and data
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
* Strong working knowledge of personal computers and software, including Windows, Access, Word, and Excel
