We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Process Engineer to join our team in a dynamic metals manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing, developing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety in the production of metal products. Key Responsibilities:
Analyze current production processes and identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost, and quality. Design, implement, and monitor process improvements using lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Maintenance, and Production to troubleshoot process issues. Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action initiatives for process-related issues. Support new product introductions by developing and validating manufacturing processes. Monitor key process indicators (KPIs) and generate reports to track performance and drive continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably in metals or heavy industry. Strong understanding of metallurgical processes such as casting, forging, rolling, heat treatment, or machining. Proficiency in process simulation and statistical analysis tools (., Minitab, AutoCAD, SolidWorks). Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and quality management systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949). Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with automation and control systems (PLC, SCADA). Certification in Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher) or Lean Manufacturing. Familiarity with ERP systems (., SAP, Oracle).
