KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITES:
Promotes health, safety, and environmental regulations by ensuring that standards, policies, and procedures are adhered to in compliance with corporate, federal, state, and local requirements
Promotes the quality system through adhering to the elements of and being familiar with the philosophy, quality statement, quality manual, and procedures
Determine methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and resources
Establish and improve standard work and systems to monitor and impact ongoing results and KPIs
Conduct training sessions and facilitate workshops to understand business processes, needs and requirements
Train manufacturing and support personnel on standard work instructions and process
Collaborate with functional areas to develop and maintain performance metrics and methods
Investigate, evaluate, troubleshoot and resolve production issues including material use variances, bottleneck and inefficiencies
Apply continuous improvement methods such as lean manufacturing to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability or cost effectiveness
Determine root causes of failures or quality issues and recommend changes in designs, tolerances or processing methods
Investigate downtime causes and complete appropriate recommendations to prevent reoccurrence
Working with the Senior Plant Leadership team develop and implement annual process improvement strategy
Assist process owners in identifying barriers to project success and help to drive changes when needed
Lead Kiazen events
Develop and maintain the plant process improvement score card and annual results review with Polyglass USA Inc. Lead Team
Work with Maintenance, R&D and Engineering to develop manufacturing processes and quality control for new equipment
Performs other duties as required.

COMPUTER EQUIPMENT AND SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires the ability to work with a personal computer in a Windows environment.
Requires proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
AS-400 or other enterprise-wide system experience preferred.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
4 year Engineering Degree Required (Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical)
Green or Black Belt preferred
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Moderate dust.
Moderate noise.
Automated and semi-automated manufacturing equipment.
Hot and cold climates.
Must be able to work around hot asphalt tanks, lines and pumps constantly.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Lifting up to 60 lbs.; assisted lifting up to 120 lbs.
Visual Acuity (including color perception).
Good Hearing.
