Process Engineer

What you will do Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, this position is responsible for Manufacturing Process Engineering activities related to Automotive Battery manufacturing, preparation for shipment, and separation for distribution process. Using Lean principles, you will oversee projects to deliver cost, quality, and time objectives established by your manager. This role is located in a plant environment.
How you will do it Improve current manufacturing processes in operations, warehouse, and facilities through the application of Lean Manufacturing.
Develop new equipment and processes for movement, storage, and distribution of batteries.
Design/redesign equipment to reduce change over time and unscheduled downtime.
Develop plant layouts, work instructions, process flow layouts, and set-up procedures while adhering to safety, quality, and productivity procedures and policies.
What we look for Required A Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or other related technical field; Engineering degree preferred.
Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing.
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Strong Mechanical aptitude.
2D and 3D CAD knowledge.
Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma environment.
Green or Black Belt certification preferred.
