This industry-leading facility will be an efficient manufacturing powerhouse, with the capacity to meet the growing demand for paper-based food and beverage packaging. As a Process Engineer, you will be a key contributor to the successful startup and ongoing optimization of our new Leola Paper production facility. You’ll lead efforts to define and implement robust manufacturing processes, support equipment commissioning, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires both hands-on technical expertise and strong cross-functional collaboration to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production operations from day one. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for equipment and processes
Feasibility studies and technical documentation
Implementation and optimization of process management
Test parameters and data analysis reports
Project plans and implementation strategies
Root cause analyses and corrective action plans
Achievement of KPIs in safety, quality, production, efficiency, and service
Cross-functional collaboration on startup readiness and ramp-up
Successful launch and stabilization of new production lines
Timely completion of startup engineering projects

Embraces learning and innovation in ambiguous settings Experience and Skills: Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in engineering or related field of study and three (3) years of related engineering experience
Strong foundation in engineering principles and manufacturing processes/systems
Skills in troubleshooting, process optimization, and production equipment
Familiarity with quality and statistical tools such as SPC, FMEA, and DOE
Experience with startup operations, including line setup and process validation
Experience with paper processes, printing, or thermoforming
Proficiency in technical documentation, SOP development, and data analysis
Knowledge of raw materials, production planning, and lean methodologies
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Comfort working independently and collaboratively in dynamic environments Work Schedule & Travel: Initial schedule will be Monday–Friday 8:00AM – 5:00PM. Will transition to 24/7 operations later this year; flexibility required.
Travel is required (up to 50%) for the first several months/throughout 2025-2026. Travel will be for onboarding, training, ongoing operational excellence and other purposes. Travel will, for the most part, take place Monday – Friday, but some weekend travel may be required.
