Process Control Engineer Location: Charleston, SC, Work Arrangement: Onsite Employee Type: Regular Job Highlights This hands-on role covers all aspects of Process Control Technology (PCT), with a focus on electrical, instrumentation, process control, and functional safety, including regular proof testing of safety-critical equipment. The PCT Engineer plays a key role in maintaining system reliability and ensuring compliance with legal, internal, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include: Provide technical guidance to E&I maintenance technicians Partner with Operations to ensure PCT reliability, maintainability, and compliance Troubleshoot and resolve complex PCT issues Implement and uphold PCT standards for DCS, SIS, instrumentation, and electrical systems Support capital projects by providing PCT expertise Stay current on new technologies and train team members Ensure compliant operation and manage obsolescence of medium and low voltage electrical systems Requirements Bachelor's degree in controls or electrical engineering or equivalent degree program. 10+ years of relevant experience preferably in chemical manufacturing. Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally to all levels of the organization. RAGAGEP in Automation, Control and Electrical Engineering, including explosion protection (NEC and NEC ). Batch programming (ISA 88) and receipt based batch control. Experience with EMERSON DELTA V DCS and/or HIMA SIS is strongly preferred.
