Location - Springfield, VA ($5,000k in relocation) Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Engineer with a strong experience in industrial control systems to join our team, the leading gas and utilities company in the VA area. This position requires expertise in SCADA systems, PLC programming, and control panel design, with a focus on maintaining systems within the natural gas and propane processing industry. Responsibilities
Develop wiring diagrams and control panel designs from P&IDs. Create control sequences and PLC programming from P&IDs. Support startup and commissioning of control systems for complex industrial or pipeline processes. Use computer software and applications, including AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, to share, retrieve, research, and present business information. Work effectively under pressure while maintaining good judgment with potentially volatile commodities. Write and present diverse ideas logically and concisely. Establish rapport and effective working relationships with business partners, supervisors, and peers. Essential Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of proven experience with industrial control systems. Knowledge of process control theory and electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical instrumentation systems. Experience with control systems in natural gas and propane processing, storage, and handling facilities. Knowledge of Industrial Control System (ICS) protocols. Experience programming in at least two SCADA software platforms and two PLC platforms. Experience with enterprise and industrial-grade network infrastructure. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Deep knowledge of SCADA systems. Experience in AutoCAD design and PLC programming. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Project management skills are desirable. Eligible for clearance. Work Environment
This role requires onsite work five days a week, with local travel to sites as needed. A 50/50 split between office and site work is expected . Mileage reimbursement is provided. The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $140000.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
