As a Print Systems Engineer you will be responsible for the strategic design, planning, execution, control, support, and modification of solutions for high quality digital printing (toner and ink jet based systems). This role supports production sites as well as overall business goals, and liaises with IT to support an automated, custom workflow.
Responsibilities include:
Working with IT and plants troubleshooting issues with files from automated workflows. Requires working knowledge of the following:
Adobe Acrobat
Enfocus PitStop
Ghostscript and Ghostview
Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
Font support including loading to RIPs and modifying/customizing
Implementing and supporting RIPs for multiple devices, including working with Networking and IT Security
Evaluate, test, and implement new digital print technologies as needed
Assist IT and Product Team to test new products
Develop, implement, and support process controls for digital print devices
Color management, both centralized and at the RIP level
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors and 5 years' experience in related field or HS/GED and 9 years' experience in related field
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Graphic arts or related field
Experience in prepress and/or digital print production
Experience with Adobe Acrobat with Enfocus PitStop
Ghostscript and Ghostview
Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
RIPs (Fiery, Harlequin, HP Production Pro)
File format knowledge/experience with PDF, Postscript, EPS, TIFF, and JDF
Additional Basic Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older
Compensation
The compensation range for this position is $105,000.00 - $145,000.00 annually. This position will be eligible for commission or an annual performance incentive plan. The base pay actually offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, experience and take into account internal equity.
