SWCM department is hiring Principal S oftware Configuration Management Engineer to work onsite in Aurora, CO .
The Software Configuration Management (SWCM) department establishes and maintains integrity for all digital products throughout the entire life cycle.
SWCM provides innovative solutions through automation, continuous improvement, and a skilled workforce providing support for all digital computing products: embedded software, firmware/configurable logic, test equipment, simulation, Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and tools.
Additionally, SWCM is responsible for administration and user access for Change and Configuration Management toolsets
What You Will Do:
Perform software builds and releases
Software deploys and maintains automated deployment jobs/tasks
Ensure site baseline and post deploy verifications
Facilitate Software Configuration Control Boards
Maintain and administer of Software Digital Library tools
Follow RTX Policies and Directives in accordance with established program documentation and work instructions under close direction of SWCM Team Lead and/or Section Leader
Design, plan, enforce and coordinate CM and tool processes and procedures
Configuration Planning & Identification, Change Management & Version Control
Status Accounting & Configuration Audits
Manage digital product development/media libraries
Document and maintain guidelines and standards for dependency management, build and versioning
Ensure site baseline and post deploy verifications
Migration of version control source from ClearCase to Bitbucket
SWCM Tool administration / manages all access to tool applications (i.e. Git, BitBucket, JIRA, Confluence
DevSecOps Tools administration / manage for tools such as Coverity, Artifactory, Jenkins, Nexus, GitLab CI/CD, Bamboo
Maintain familiarity with program schedule, budget, identifying risks and aligning work to promote reuse and efficiency
Coordination of data transfers, courier support among various environments
Lead coordination of various digital product releases and interface with functional and program leadership ensuring on-time delivery and ensuring configuration management execution in multi-environment areas
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred).
A minimum of 8 years of prior engineering experience.
Experience with version control and change management/agile planning tools
Software Configuration Management technology, Information Technology (IT), and/or development/scripting experience
Experience with Windows and Unix/Linux Operating Systems
Requires a current Security+ Certification.
Active and transferable TS/SCI clearance with Poly is required day 1; U.S. citizenship is required , as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer:
Expert knowledge in Software Configuration Management principles, process, and implementation/execution
Solving complex problems, sharing knowledge, and documenting work
Experience with SWCM tools (Git, BitBucket, IBM Rational Team Concert (RTC), and/or IBM Rational ClearCase, Synergy, Jenkins, Artifactory
Experience with source code migration
Experience with scripting programming languages (i.e., Perl, shell, batch, Python, Ruby, or YAML)
Experience with Continuous Improvement, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), GitFlow, and Agile concepts
Database / SWCM tool administration experience
Experience with software industry best practices such as Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI)
Proven collaboration and effective communication with individuals and cross functional organizations

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
