Our client is looking to fill the role of Principal Software Engineer, Full Stack. This hire will help drive architecture decisions and build systems that are scalable, secure, and built to last. This position requires employees to be on-site in SFO 3-5 days a week. We're a venture-backed technology company building the next generation of platforms for intelligent data integration and real-time insights. Our software enables organizations to unify and act on high-volume, high-velocity data from multiple sources-empowering smarter, faster decision-making. As we expand our engineering team, we're looking for a senior-level full stack engineer to help drive architecture decisions and build systems that are scalable, secure, and built to last.

Compensation: $180,000-$220,000 base + equity + benefits Responsibilities: Architect, build, and maintain modern web applications and APIs that manage large-scale data ingestion and transformation Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver impactful features Optimize application performance, ensure system reliability, and scale infrastructure Write well-tested, maintainable code across the stack using modern tools and frameworks Lead technical evaluations, recommend new technologies, and help define engineering standards Prioritize security and compliance throughout the application lifecycle Mentor engineers and help foster a high-performance, collaborative culture Required Qualifications: 8+ years of experience building and scaling full stack application Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React), and backend services (e.g., Node.js Deep understanding of databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure), and DevOps practices (CI/CD, monitoring, automation Strong architectural skills and experience designing scalable, modular system Familiarity with security best practices and handling of sensitive data Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
