Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and delivered on time. Life Cycle Engineering consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Our Life Cycle Engineering disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. Our focus area is product support, including the following disciplines: Reliability, System Safety, and Supportability.
What You Will Do:
As a Principal Reliability Engineer you will be responsible for executing the Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) program activities such as:
Conducting RAM analyses, including reliability predictions and maintainability predictions
Performing Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analyses (FMECA) and Fault Detection/Fault Isolation (FDFI) analyses
Generating Reliability Block Diagrams (RBDs)/system models
Defining/allocating RAM requirements
Reviewing field failure data and assessing performance using calculations such as Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), Mean Time Between Critical Failure (MTBCF) & Operational Availability (Ao)
Interpreting data and analyzing results
Ensuring performance compliance to requirements
Assisting in maintaining FMECAs and RBDs
Providing RAM inputs and support to program meetings such as Failure Review Boards (FRBs) and Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs)
Working cross-functionally with Sustainment, Site, and other Life Cycle Engineering teams
Supporting the proposal process in developing Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for RAM work
Tracking Earned Value (EV) and providing accurate status on the schedule and budget for the RAM scope
This job is based at Raytheon’s Woburn or Tewksbury facility and is posted as ONSITE.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically Requires: Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 8 years of relevant experience. An advanced degree may account for additional years of experience as required for this position.
Experience in Reliability and/or Quality Engineering
The ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret security clearance. US citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience with Reliability Engineering concepts including knowledge of reliability and maintainability predictions, FMECA/FDFI, RBDs, MTBF/MTBCF, and Ao
Electrical Engineering experience, Electrical Engineering degree/education preferred
Task leadership or project management experience, familiar with concepts such as Earned Value
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to present technical material to varied audiences
Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
