Milpower Source, the latest addition to Bel, located in Manchester, NH is seeking a highly experienced and innovative Principal Electrical Engineer to lead complex electrical engineering projects from concept through production. This role is critical in driving innovation, ensuring regulatory compliance, while collaborating across cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, sales and supply chain. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise, a proven track record of product development, and the ability to mentor teams and drive engineering excellence.
Are You Looking to: Lead the design, development, and validation of complex electrical systems and components Oversee system architecture, schematics, PCB layout, and design verification Ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations (e.g., Mil-STD, DO, VITA) Conduct detailed electrical analysis including Derating, Thermal Analysis, EMI/EMC mitigation, and Durability considerations Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, software, and manufacturing engineering Evaluate and select components, tools, and technologies appropriate for the product and application Interface with global teams and suppliers to ensure project alignment and delivery Are You Ready to: Lead design reviews and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers Manage project timelines, resources, and risk to ensure successful project delivery Serve as a subject matter expert in one or more areas (e.g., power systems, analog/digital design) Support root cause analysis and resolution of product issues during development and after release Prepare technical documentation including schematics, BOMs, test plans, and engineering reports Travel occasionally for design reviews, vendor visits, or field support What You'll Need: Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or related field 10+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience, including leadership roles Proficiency in electrical design tools- advantage (e.g., VHDL Tools, OrCAD, LT Spice) Strong understanding of design for manufacturability and reliability Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design and power electronics Demonstrated experience in leading full lifecycle product development Excellent communication and documentation skills Ability to work independently and lead cross-disciplinary teams Experience with regulatory and safety compliance testing is preferred Experience in high-durability electronic systems Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team Experience working in a global team or multi-site engineering environment Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident What You'll Get: Competitive compensation 401K and company match Medical, Dental, Vision Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Company Life Insurance Short & Long-term disability Paid Time Off (e.g., Vacation Benefits, Company Holidays, Sick Leave Benefits, Personal Days) Tuition Reimbursement Work Opportunity
