SUMMARY: The successful candidate will support multiple Broadband customers with both active and passive RF devices (amplifiers, equalizers, switches, etc.). They will be able to help customers choose the best Qorvo devices by data sheet analysis and RF simulation. RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide RF device support to Broadband customers Provide RF device and system simulation with Qorvo components to key customers Design devices evaluation boards including matching all devices to key S-Parameter and linearity metrics Characterize new and existing devices to create/update device data sheets Support failure analysis including root cause for Qorvo Broadband devices Work across design, sales, marketing and applications to win device sockets/opportunities QUALIFICATIONS: Experienced in circuit simulation tools like Genesys and HP ADS Experienced in system Simulation tools like SystemVue and Spectrasys Familiar with 3D EM simulations like Momentum Experienced is PCB Design tools Experienced in RF measurement techniques and test setup of various parameters like BER, Phase noise, Noise Figure, Gain, Return loss, IMD, P1dB, Adjacent and Co-channel Interference etc. Design experience of switching/Linear power supplies for RF and analog receivers and amplifiers Knowledge and understanding of how CATV systems work Knowledge and understanding of various digital and analog modulation schemes Experienced in impedance matching techniques of various RF blocks such as tuners, mixers, amplifiers and transmitters Familiar with designing and tuning of various types of RF Receivers and Transmitters. Develop close relationship with the customer and coordinate activities with the sales team Hands-on lab work to identify and resolve issues as well as tuning to optimize products on reference designs and customers end products Technical applications support to customers evaluating our products, as well as internal sales personnel MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: BS Degree in Electrical Engineering , MS Degree preferred 5+ years experience in RF application design/support This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship by the Company. #LI-SM1 MAKE A DIFFERENCE AT QORVO We are Qorvo.
