Overall Purpose of Position: We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Analog Design Engineer to lead the development of advanced Battery Protection ICs. This role offers the opportunity to drive innovation in power management for high-volume consumer and industrial applications. Primary Job Responsibilities/Duties: Lead the design of partial or complete battery protection ICs from concept to production. Architect and implement analog/mixed-signal blocks and macros. Supervise and guide layout engineers to ensure optimal performance and manufacturability. Collaborate with test, applications, and product engineering teams to bring designs to mass production. Partner with marketing and management to define new product concepts and assess technical feasibility. Support customers by preparing technical documentation and engaging in design discussions. Qualifications: Strong track record designing successful high-volume power management/protection ICs. Deep understanding of analog design techniques on 0.18um CMOS process and below. Skilled at transistor level design of all types of sub-blocks such as comparators, references, voltage/current monitors, charge pumps, LDOs, protection logic. Experience and knowledge of DC-DC regulators and common architectures. Experience and knowledge of low power and low noise analog designs is a plus. Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing, layout and devices. Proficient in Cadence tools for schematic capture, simulation and layout.
