Plant Engineer

Position Summary:
Plans, implements, and oversees plant-engineering activities including capital projects and facility upgrades. Specializes in design, mechanical, and process engineering while supporting the functions of other departments. Performs and/or oversees the design, installation, and implementation of new or upgraded plant and processing equipment as well as troubleshooting and continual improvements for existing equipment and processes. Secures bids for services and equipment and functions as the project manager for specific capital projects. Write equipment specifications for new and upgraded equipment.
Required Education and Experience:
BS Degree in Engineering: Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 10 years of experience with plant engineering
Experience in chemical handling and thermal drying
Proficient in using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, data analysis programs or related software
Proficient with mechanical design, industrial electronics, and plant layout
Familiar with NFPA processes including, though not limited to, gas, electric, fire safety and Factory Mutual (FM) requirements Experience evaluating and troubleshooting manufacturing processes and machinery
PLC Troubleshooting (PLC programming not required)
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Education and Experience Preferences:
Web handling and roll-to-roll web coating
Textile Manufacturing
Float glass manufacturing
