The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role.
This is an ONSITE position in Andover, MA
Life Cycle Engineering (LCE)is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and delivered on time. Life Cycle Engineering consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Our Life Cycle Engineering disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. Our focus area is product support, including the following disciplines: Reliability, System Safety, and Supportability.
What You Will Do:
- Provide field support to technical operations.
- Coordination and tracking by receiving, responding to or causing responses to PFRs and field inquiries.
- Providing a focal communications point between field facilities, field engineering, manufacturing, engineering and logistics support to resolve all field problems.
- Document the change authority associated with each PFR such as Investigation Request (IR), Software Investigation Request (SIR), LIRs, FB, Change Notices and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs).
- Coordinate Patriot Field Bulletins and the disseminating of information to designated Raytheon personnel and to Government Life Cycle Management Command (LCMC) for official distribution to field personnel.
- Review all change documents for configuration impact on Patriot assemblies and subassemblies that are candidates for Upgrade and Return action.
- Identify all required retrofits and input them into the automated R&R Configuration Control system database.
- Provide management and technical oversight to the CRR/ECP Logistics program
- Provide management and technical oversight of the PFR/FBs being processed through the system.
- Perform Quality Control checks and verify that all changes are incorporated.
- Actively participate in daily and weekly Configuration Control Board meetings.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience.
- Experience with Engineering Change proposals and/or Advisories to Air Defense or similar weapon systems. (i.e. maintenance work orders, patriot field reports, patriot maintenance advisories ..)
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience with reviewing and understanding Technical Data Packages including but not limited to general understanding of Product Data Management (PDM).
- Microsoft Office products skills.
- Excellent communication, organization and investigation skills.
- Ability to work independently and to deliver accurate documentation under deadline pressures.
- Security+ or other equivalent security related, industry recognized certification.
- Experience in Linux, UNIX, and Windows operating systems.
- CORE Apprentice or equivalent.
- Prior field experience closely supporting customer operations and activities.
