Become a part of ENERCON as a Part Time Civil Structural Engineer! We are seeking talented civil structural engineers at a seasoned senior or principal engineer level. This is a Part Time role working 30 hours or less per week on average , with opportunities in: Kennesaw, GA (Suburb of Atlanta) Overland Park, KS Naperville, IL (Suburb of Chicago) Dallas, TX Fort Worth, TX Kennewick, WA Baton Rouge, LA Birmingham, AL Chattanooga, TN Palm Beach Gardens, FL Glendale, AZ (Suburb of Phoenix) Aiken, SC King of Prussia, PA This role could also be located in other ENERCON locations, or possibly remote based on location within the United States. Responsibilities

As a vital member of our engineering team, your day will be filled with meaningful challenges and impactful work. You might start by diving into detailed analysis and design of critical structures and components. Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, you'll ensure designs meet rigorous safety and regulatory requirements, such as seismic and environmental standards. Later, you could evaluate proposed plant modifications, ensuring that every change upholds safety and compliance. Your afternoon might involve preparing in-depth technical reports, design calculations, and specifications, all while effectively communicating findings to key stakeholders. Every task you tackle contributes directly to the safety, reliability, and innovation of our client facilities. You will also need to: Collaborate Across Disciplines: Work seamlessly with professionals from various engineering fields, ensuring smooth coordination and integration of designs Lead Design Initiatives: Develop innovative design studies, craft comprehensive project scopes, and produce accurate engineering estimates Innovate Solutions: Tackle complex technical challenges with fresh ideas and creative problem-solving strategies Engage in Field Operations: Embrace opportunities to travel, participate in site walkdowns, oversee field installations, and support system start-ups Inspire Teams: Lead by example, motivating teams to achieve ambitious goals with a positive, results-driven attitude and effective leadership #LI-AS1 #LI-AS1 Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Structural engineering from an accredited university or equivalent training, education and experience Minimum of 10 years of power system design experience in the Nuclear or Power Industry Experience in one of the following industries required: engineering/design services, power generation, nuclear power, heavy industrial including chemical or pulp & paper, and government (DOE) projects Demonstrated proficiency in preparation of structural calculations is desired Knowledge of discipline-specific computer analysis codes as well as standard office production software Proficient in Word and Excel Familiar with the International Building code and building code design Good writing, presentation, and communication skills Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams Familiar with concrete and steel design codes and with working stress and ultimate strength design approaches Candidates who have mentorship experience or a desire to mentor early to mid career engineers preferred Must be able to get badged at a nuclear facility Must be able to perform plant walkdowns

Pay Range

USD $48.00 - USD $84.00 /Hr.
