Job Description
Gilead's mission is to discover, develop, and deliver therapies that will improve the lives of patients with life-threatening illnesses worldwide. As a ( Packaging Engineer II ), you are responsible for:
Key Responsibilities
Works with staff from other functional areas to meet complex project deliverables such as new product launches or start-up of new manufacturing/packaging sites. Ensures an uninterrupted commercial product supply. Interfaces with vendors to develop alternate designs of packaging components and translate into actionable specs. Interfaces with production sites to improve/optimize current production processes/recommend. Coordinates to ensure product meets regulatory, performance, and cost requirements. Contributes to technical investigations and assessment of deviations particularly as related to data generation/gathering and analysis. Works with internal and CMO manufacturing sites to define requirements for master batch records. Supports the preparation of documents for Regulatory filings.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and at least Four (4) Years' of relevant experience (preferably in packaging engineering field or a related Engineering/technical discipline).
OR
Masters' Degree and Two (2) Years' of relevant experience (preferably in packaging engineering field or a related Engineering/technical discipline).
Preferred Qualifications
Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required. Experience in solid dose, parenteral or device products packaging. Works on non-routine to somewhat complex problems, requiring evaluation of multiple factors before taking action.
The salary range for this position is: $102,085.00 - $132,110.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
