OVERVIEW
PCE, a live events production company, is hiring an Audio Engineer to support Great Park Live, a brand-new 5,000+ seat venue in Irvine, CA! This venue is home to live music in Orange County, including the Pacific Symphony, commercial touring acts, and community events like Irvine Nights, graduations, and cultural celebrations. PCE is the exclusive technical partner for equipment including audio, lighting, video, staging, rigging, and backline.

DUTIES
This role reports directly to the Technical Director at Great Park Live. Most of the work will take place on-site at the venue, with occasional duties at PCE’s office, warehouse, or other job sites.
Primary Responsibilities
• Maintain and manage all audio equipment at Great Park Live.
• Set up, engineer, and mix audio for a wide range of events—bands, vocals, corporate, and more.
• Advance pre-production and handle all audio-related advancement in collaboration with the Technical Director.
• Strong understanding of audio systems engineering and networking (Dante, Clear-Com, etc.).
• Mic and mix for live performances with confidence and clarity.
• Perform basic cable repairs (XLR, Cat5, soldering).
• Lead and manage A2s and audio techs; provide mentorship and direction.
• Be diplomatic and collaborative—skilled at balancing hands-on mixing with team leadership and crew management.
• Be responsible for venue SPL levels as dictated by the City of Irvine Code Enforcement
• Attend all venue meetings and be present for all special events.
• Interact professionally with clients, vendors, and union personnel.
• Coordinate with touring artists and technical crews.
• Ensure seamless event execution by following procedures and working closely with other departments.
Additional Responsibilities
• When not working at Great Park Live, assist in technician roles or warehouse operations as needed.
• Lead and motivate crews on events; set a positive example of conduct and professionalism.
• Provide internal reporting to upper management as required.
• Uphold all company standards, policies, and safety procedures.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a high level of responsiveness.
REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum 5 years of touring or in-house audio experience.
• Advanced knowledge in the design, configuration, assembly, integration, and troubleshooting of complex audio systems.
• Dante Level 2 Certification required: Level 3 preferred.
• Working knowledge of Networking
• Working Knowledge of Yamaha consoles
• EAW Adaptive Certification preferred.
• OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Flexibility to work a variety of hours including weekends.
• Working knowledge of the principles and practices of workplace safety.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Must be responsive to texts, emails, and calls from PCE staff.
