Jackson Health Pros is seeking an experienced nuclear med tech for a permanent role with an area hospital in London, OH where you will work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team and be responsible for preparing and administering radioactive drugs and operating radiation detection and imaging equipment.
Minimum Requirements
An associate or bachelor’s degree in nuclear medicine technology.
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Nuclear Medicine registration or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board registration required.
Ohio Department of Health Radiologic License required.
BLS certification required within 30 days of employment.
Experience performing routine and emergent nuclear medicine procedures, including preparation and administration of radiopharmaceuticals.
Experience with imaging equipment operation, radiation safety standards, and equipment quality control.
Previous experience in nuclear medicine preferred.
Multi-modality experience preferred (MRI, CT, Radiology).

Primary Functions
Performs routine and emergent nuclear medicine procedures by correctly using imaging equipment, related accessories and radiopharmaceutical agents. Upholds radiation safety standards and department protocol.
Receives, handles, stores, prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals to patients according to protocol.
Prepares patient and exam room for imaging procedure. Assists patient with appropriate dress.
Maintains manual and computerized patient, department and hospital records. Performs associated data entry and clerical tasks as needed.
Performs and documents equipment quality control according to department protocol. Performs routine cleaning and preventative maintenance.
Treats patients and families with dignity and respect.
Schedule Day shift. Monday through Friday with some schedule flexibility.
