Niantic’s Quality Engineering (QE) team is seeking a Quality Engineer who will be responsible for QE feature testing efforts for Pokémon Go. As a Quality Engineer, you will work closely with our other QE team members, our QE Director, and our production team to ensure that we are delivering high-quality experiences to our players. You will be responsible for planning, creating, implementing, and executing testing for core areas of our games. Responsibilities Build and manage testing estimates, schedules, timelines, bug analytics/metrics, and mitigation plans. Manage Pokémon GO feature testing and integration across Niantic’s technologies and platform. Collaborate with our TPMs to interface with external QE resources and with the development team to track defects during feature development. Drive the development and execution of test cases and suites for new features. Report project testing efforts to our project leads and production team. Work with the QE leadership team on QE process improvements. Required in-office 2 days on Tuesday and Wednesday. Qualifications You have a BS in Computer Science or another technical major and/or a minimum of 3 years of software QE experience. Proven understanding of QE methodology and tools. Experience leading, building, and crafting test strategies for game and consumer-facing products. Ability to work both individually and collaboratively as part of a team. Plus If... One or more years of mobile testing/QA experience. Passion for mobile devices and mobile gaming. Experience writing test automation/scripts.
