Nextgen is seeking a candidate with a broad engineering background to support US Marshals hosted infrastructure supporting agents in the field. Infrastructure includes Compute, Storage, Virtualization, Networking, and Applications. In addition to on-premise equipment, the individual will support hosted infrastructure in Azure GovCloud. The candidate shall have extensive experience creating and maintaining robust network architectures to provide high availability and resiliency. Required Qualifications Top Secret clearance (Individuals with current Secret clearance may be considered.) 5 years’ experience planning, designing, troubleshooting, and optimizing network configurations and architectures Management of Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls; installation, configuration, operation, and troubleshooting of high availability routed and switched networks Proficiency with configuration, software/firmware upgrades, and troubleshooting of platforms including: o ISR 4000 Series Routers o Cisco Nexus Switches o Cisco ASA firewalls o Knowledge of Firepower build o Cisco AnyConnect VPN o Cisco FTD firewalls o Managing FTD firewalls via Cisco's FMC o Implementing URL filtering rules o Implementing SSL Inspection o Cisco ISE Design, configuration, optimization, and enhancement of two networks with over 100 remote sites, including telecommunications (LAN/WAN), TCP/IP, and web-based technologies Designing and drafting network diagrams and concepts for modernization of on-prem and cloud infrastructures Applying IT best practices, methods, and techniques to install, maintain, integrate, and support IT hardware, software, and services; making recommendations for improvements Incident management and coordination with service providers and other agencies to ensure network continuity Deploying and maintaining security templates and configuration baselines following agency guidelines such as DoD STIGs Knowledge of software and systems development life cycles, including performance measurement and security measures Utilizing application load balancers to enhance security and availability Managing Cisco ISE for device administration, posturing, and profiling Experience with SolarWinds for configuration changes, performance monitoring, and alerting Maintaining remote access VPN via Secure Endpoint Desired Qualifications Experience with additional attributes such as: o CCNA Route and Switch – Data Center o CCNP Route and Switch o Cisco AMP o Cisco UCS o Cisco Duo MFA o Cisco Wi-Fi technologies o CradlePoint routers o Palo Alto firewalls o Azure networking tools o Deploying devices in Azure Gov with ARM templates o SMS gateway services o WAN bonding About NextGen: NextGen Federal Systems is an innovative provider specializing in software solutions and mission support services.
