Genesis10 is currently seeking a Network/System Engineer with our client in the financial industry located in Jacksonville, FL. This is a 12+ month contract position.

Responsibilities: Responsible for the daily support and upkeep of the mainframe zShadow Direct environments on the client zOS systems and supporting processes Support a large scale zOS environment running in a parallel SYSPLEX Perform software implementation, maintenance, certification testing, development and documentation of operational procedures Problem debugging and root cause analysis Interact with software vendors

Requirements: In-depth knowledge of DB2, JCL, working with IBM and vendor utilities and being able to work with various technical groups, application developers and LOB to support real-time business functions across the client systems In-depth knowledge supporting zOS mainframe infrastructure, a focus on zShadow Direct or similar product like DB2 CONNECT, individual should have DB2 DBA experience and skills, experience with IBM utilities including DB2 Utilities and SQL Proficient in the use of JCL and working with various vendor utility programs Good analytical skills Debugging skills Good communication skills both written and oral are required as the individual must interface with application developers, support teams, software vendors and management staff

Pay Range: $50.55-$58.55
