Base pay range $130,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from The Intersect Group We are looking for a seasoned network professional to step into a technical leadership role within our Network Operations Center (NOC). This position is ideal for someone with deep hands-on networking experience whos ready to transition into more of a mentorship and strategic guidance role , while still engaging with the technology as needed. Key Responsibilities Act as a technical guide and leader within the NOC, spending approximately 75% of your time on leadership/strategy and 25% on hands-on technical support. Collaborate closely with team leads and managers to transition engineering projects into NOC operations effectively. Provide mentorship to NOC Analysts , assisting with onboarding, training, and guiding day-to-day troubleshooting, upgrades, and process improvement. Serve as a liaison between Engineering, Architecture, and Operations teamshelping translate standards and initiatives into operational practices. Assist with vendor coordination , including Cisco Smart Net, maintenance renewals, and other technology partners. Identify skill gaps within the team and proactively recommend or deliver training based on upcoming technology rollouts or needs. Sit side-by-side with new hires to ensure they are technically ramping up effectively, while supporting the HR function led by the NOC manager. Required Qualifications 8+ years of experience in networking, primarily with Cisco technologies (hardware and software). 4+ years supporting VOIP technologies (Cisco Call Manager or equivalent). Strong experience with firewalls , particularly Palo Alto or similar platforms. Exposure to Arista switches , Meraki wireless , and multi-vendor network environments. Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring technical teams in a production/network support environment. Comfortable working in hybrid roles that blend technical depth with process ownership, team enablement, and cross-functional coordination. Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams. Preferred Qualifications CCNP certification or equivalent industry credentials highly preferred. Experience with NOC operations , network lifecycle planning, and supporting enterprise-scale environments. Strong vendor management and project coordination capabilities. Why This Role?
