Network Engineer (Onsite) Primary Location: Louisville, Kentucky

V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Network Engineer (Onsite) for our premier client in Louisville, Kentucky .

Education and Experience " Five years network engineering experience. Experience with troubleshooting cabling (a plus). Good experience with Layer 1 rack and stack. Good experience with cable management. Good experience with fiber troubleshooting (there will be a good amount of walking) 15-20% will be cable management and fiber troubleshooting. Good experience with Cisco routing and switching, there will be a LOT of switch work. Good experience with how firewalls work and firewall policies. Huge Plus: Experience with PALO ALTO firewalls and routing.

WHAT YOU'LL DO: Job Responsibilities: Rack and stack equipment. Configure, troubleshoot, and deploy equipment (switches, APs, PDUs, etc.) Network equipment inventory management. Clean up cabling in IDFs. Wireless LAN configuration and maintenance. Gather and compile documentation and diagrams as required. Update and maintain network management application databases and CMDB tools. Proactively address business process issues regarding networks through network architecture design, development, and implementation as well as business process re-engineering. Perform related duties as assigned.
