Job Summary : Proactive, excellent communicator with hands-on and technically skilled Support Engineer with 23 years of experience in handling network operations. This role involves technical support, diagnosing network and security issues, and contributing to infrastructure improvements. Key Responsibilities : Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for network and security-related issues. Troubleshoot connectivity, latency, and configuration issues involving routers, switches, firewalls, access points, and VPNs. Assist in analyzing network logs, security alerts, and packet captures to identify root causes. Support and maintain internal knowledge base, technical documentation, and support tools. Collaborate with network and security teams to implement fixes and preventive measures. Participate in after-hours support rotation as needed. Required Skills & Qualifications : Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline. 23 years of experience in tech support, networking, or security operations. Strong knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs. Hands-on troubleshooting experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and network security principles. Experience with end-to-end network setup, command-line tools (Linux/Bash/PowerShell preferred). Proficient in monitoring tools like Prometheus, Zabbix, Nagios. Ability to deploy, troubleshoot, and manage application servers, databases, intranet applications, MS SharePoint, and related legacy applications. Ability to generate policies and document network model diagrams. Good analytical and troubleshooting skills. Additional Details : Relocate to Minnesota. (Remote candidates need not apply.)
