Clark Associates, Inc. has an immediate opening for an intelligent and driven IT Professional looking for a position to utilize their skills and advanced knowledge. The Network Engineer is responsible for design, monitoring, deployment, and maintenance of the network infrastructure at Clark Associates, Incorporated. The Network Engineer will help mentor the team and work with other departments to provide reliable services to customers and clients.
Identify, test, and implement new technology to be used in the network environment
Installation and configuration of network related devices and systems
Perform network maintenance duties as required (i.e. firmware and version upgrades, etc.)
Configure and troubleshoot both site to site and remote access VPNs
Install/connect cabling for network devices as needed
Create and update documentation including network topology diagrams and network procedures
Analyze network traffic for troubleshooting and performance improvements
Provide end to end network support for a large enterprise
Assist other teams with the analysis of application problems
Project planning on larger projects and higher tier support
Provide network design and analysis for new buildings as well as infrastructure updates
Estimate network needs and costs for current and future projects
Provide high-level IT support, assistance and troubleshooting
Mentoring junior network engineers
Other duties as assigned
Requires working from heights on ladders and/or lifts
May require occasional travel to other facilities across the United States
Experience working in a distribution environment preferred
Minimum three (3) years of experience with one or more of the following:
Knowledge and experience with Checkpoint Firewalls
Knowledge of Cisco Firewalls, Management Center and AnyConnect
Knowledge and experience with Cisco and Dell Switches
Knowledge and experience setting up wireless networks, including Extreme APs
Knowledge with routing protocols: BGP and OSPF
Knowledge with spanning tree protocols: RSTP, PVST, MSTP, R-PVST
Knowledge and experience with Syslog, TACACS, Radius, and SNMP
Knowledge of troubleshooting foundational protocols such as DNS, DHCP, and ARP
